Modern Custom Made Muzzleloading Underhammer Percussion Bench Rest Target Rifle, unmarked as to maker, #42, .45 cal., blued 30.5'' heavy round barrel, with large hooded adjustable front and adjustable Lyman peep receiver sights, turned for bullet starter at muzzle; block-style blued receiver with long-spur underhammer and long trigger is marked only ''42'' on left at barrel juncture; varnished walnut forearm and buttstock with grooved steel buttplate. Condition is excellent. Barrel and receiver retain approx. 95% original blue with occasional minor scratches and discoloration. Front sight shows use and marring; case hardened hammer and trigger with darkened case hardening. Stocks are smooth and sound with approx. 95% original varnish and nice grain and color.
